In a city full of cheap/mediocre sushi restaurants this is a gem of a place that serves high quality fish at reasonable prices. I got the 12 piece sushi platter and one portion of the Canadian sea urchin gunkanmaki. Service was excellent and the complimentary amuse bouche and miso soup were pleasant surprises. Seating was limited so be sure to make a reservation. Highly recommend it!

I’m really surprised to find this place with such high quality ingredients. Their urchin is the specialty of the day but not the sweet type that I enjoy (they say bc it’s from Canada). The rest are amazing at this price. Highly recommend and will come back again!

A little cosy restaurant, it was really nice for a date night, the service was attentive and really soft, if you have questions they can provide detailed answers. If you're not sure what to take, they have a tasting platter with 12 sushis. A good discovery we will be going again!

It’s a small but very cozy place! I chose for the omakase set menu and was not disappointed! Not only was the fish great the rice also tasted amazing! Definitely recommend for a dinner night out

Scoured through the internet for a place that had otoro available. This was one of three places that were offered by the web. With another restaurant, we went to but they decided to close for lunch without any info on the internet about it so it wasted our metro ticket. A second option had meh reviews due to the quantity and quality not being up to par with what you pay for. Then I decided to bring my boyfriend and I to Izumi. You'll have the option to sit outside, inside, or at the bar so you can watch the chef make sushi. There's the possibility of Omakase as well. During my stay in Copenhagen, I visited an incredible sushi placed called Selfish, and Izumi is the more high end equivalent of it. Our experience in Izumi was incredible. My boyfriend got the 12 piece sushi and I got an Izumi chirashi which is basically chirashi that included a bit of grilled eel and fatty tuna. I also got scallop (saint-jacques) and marinated mackerel sushi on the side. Every bit of our meal was enjoyable. From the simple yet fresh salad, to the delicate miso soup, then the main course. My scallop sushi was so tender and sweet, the eel was incredibly flavorful, and the star of my plate, the fatty tuna, just melted at the first bite. I heavily recommend this place if you're looking for a genuinely authentic and delicious experience. Expect to budget a minimum of 40 to 50 euros per person. This is much better than eating at a cheap place that serves sushi that tastes like every other place. They also have a separate takeout menu which is cheaper.

Great and fresh fish. A true authentic sushi place and a must do if you love you sushi. The chef is Japanese so it’s definitely not a fake regular Paris sushi place.

Recommended by a friend and was totally worth it. In my native language „izumi“ means „amaze“ and the translation matched the experience! The most delicious sushi I have eaten — a rich variety made of fresh fish. The chef is a virtuoso and the host is kind-hearted. My three words to describe the place: Authentic, Amazing, Absolute.
